LUMINUMKRAFT Family

Department : METAL OUTER BOWL
Thomas and Boyd, Luminum-Kraft Products [Tomboy Machine Products Co.]of 15105 Darwin Avenue,Cleveland,Ohio came out with these pipes around July 1946. Costing $3.50, there appears to have been many models, but the designated ones are the LuminumKraft 35 , and the LuminumKraft 50.
The bowl insert is stated as being of Algerian briar and any standard filter can be fitted inside the stem.
The parts are all interchangeable and briar only bowls were available

As you can see from this page, there were several variations. The top image seem to be based on the 35 and the centre on the 50. Each pipe has it's own page on this site amongst the unknowns to hopefully assist those entering from that direction.
The lower image features yet another bowl variant on what seems to be a 35 body. Advertising seen also shows the 35 with a fluted body

There was also an ejector cigerette holder, the Model 10
26 Aug 1947 US patent # D147,363

The bottom image is a neat pipe stand which also holds spare bowls. I use Doug Bisbee's (www.dkmetalpipes.com) as his renovation is vastly superior to mine.
